Performance Sportster – Stage 1 finished
The first stage for the Sportster is finished. It is road worthy again. It meets all local technical requirements and it can be driven on the roads legally.
The next step will probably be to clean up the looks. The fuel tank needs repairs, obviously, and I have to figure out what I want to do with the wheels.
The front work great – brakes and suspension. I will need to ride more to form stronger opinion. Rear still needs work.
I like the handlebars. Throttle, clutch and brakes controls work great, no complains here. However, switches will need new design iteration. The buttons work great, but the housings are too far forward and it is hard to reach with the finger over throttle housing (especially, because quick action throttle housing is bigger in diameter). So I will need to bring button switches closer to the driver.
